Overview

The Oil and Natural Gas Special Interest Group Annual Meeting will include the election of committee members and a talk from a guest speaker.

Committee nominations

The committee are still accepting nominations for the roles of Treasurer and Ordinary Committee Member. You can submit a nomination using this form.

Please note that nominees for the role of treasurer need to be a Chartered Member or Fellow of IChemE.

Speaker

Saul Kavonic, Head of Australia Integrated Energy and Resources Securities Research, Credit Suisse

Saul Kavonic will present a talk entitled 'The Most Bullish Event in LNG Industry History'.

Saul is a Director in Credit Suisse’ Australian Research team, covering Integrated Energy, Resources and Carbon markets, and number one ranked energy analyst according to industry surveys.

Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Mr Kavonic was Head of Oil, Gas, LNG and Renewables in Australasia and APAC for Wood Mackenzie. He has also previously worked at oil and gas producer Woodside Energy, venture capital fund MH Carnegie & Co, and also in government resources policy roles with the United Nations and African Union Commission.

Mr Kavonic is a member of the industry advisory board for the University of Western Australia Oceans Graduate School, and a co-founder of Refugees Welcome Australia. He holds degrees in Law (Honours) and Chemical Engineering (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.
