Overview

Our industry is being transformed by improved decision making made possible by data, analytics, automation and machine learning. Aker Solutions’ ix3™ was established to keep its customers at the forefront of this change. We are designing the software capabilities, resources and processes required for an innovative future across engineering, operations and services.

In this talk, we’ll look at some live examples of where the benefits of the digital twin and wider tool set are being realized by our customers, and the bright future that we see for engineering in the new era.

Speaker

Jonathan Minnitt, Aker Solutions

Jonathan studied chemical engineering at Wits University in South Africa and completed his MBA at Loughborough. He began his professional career as a plant support engineer at Sasol’s GTL & CTL facilities before moving into the consulting world with Advantica, GL Noble Denton and DNV GL and then EP with Aker Solutions. Jonathan has led the development of new service lines and delivered successful change and programmes. He is passionate about creating and enabling vision for his team and beyond. He lives in Windsor, is married to Clare and has two children, Nathan and Ella who have just acquired a new cockerpoo puppy (yes, that’s a thing – it’s the dog equivalent of smashed avocado & poached eggs on rye).
