Overview

Transitioning to a greener economy will require trillions of dollars in investment to meet net-zero emissions by 2050 (NZE50). This global goal influences public policy, finance flows and stakeholder demands to decarbonize all industries. A solution is Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS), especially for South East Asia where 92% of its growing energy demand is met by fossil fuels. What part can the Institution of Chemical Engineers play in decarbonising all industries?

Speaker

Serge Jean, Managing Director, ALECA Sdn Bhd

Serge is leading a team of industry experts and programmers to deliver a cloud-based, Software as a Service (SaaS) toolkit and build a global consulting network to modernise, digitalise and streamline industries. ALECA enables weighing sustainability equally against traditional economics, getting entrepreneurs/investors to think differently. The software and consulting team is the culmination of Serge's 28 years in industry, leveraging an extensive network of expertise across Energy Projects and investing in the industry, finding ways to reduce carbon emissions, working in a more AGILE manner, and delivering cost-effective solutions. Together, ALECA and all industries are building a new kind of entrepreneur and global community to transition to a greener economy, especially in the field of carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS/CCS).
