Objectives

The theme of Palm Oil Processing Special Interest Group (POPSIG) for 2023 is "Beyond Palm Oil: Connecting Life". The activity aims to promote innovative thinking for the future development of palm oil industry. It also provides a platform to showcase the writing and design skills of the talents.

Palm oil being one of the world’s most important crop touches many important aspects ranging from economy, social and environment. The palm oil related activities have been in debate about its impact for decades in many areas especially those related to sustainability, safety and social economy.

POPSIG is calling for the submission on any topic about the sustainability development in palm oil industry. The following honorariums are opened for applications.

• Article honorarium
• Infographic honorarium
• Video honorarium

The selected materials will be awarded the Honorarium, which includes Certificate of Recognition by POPSIG. The selected articles will be published in IChemE POPSIG Newsletter.

Topics

Any topics related to sustainability development in palm oil industry is welcomed, not limited to: UN SDGs, ESG, life cycle analysis, circular economy, energy efficiencies, corporate and social responsibilities (CSR), health and biodiversity.
