Overview

A webinar on the topic of flow measurement, focusing on the subjects of fiscal and custody transfer. Flow measurement systems are the cash register of the oil and gas industry. Their accuracy is paramount, but with multiple systems, designs and configurations used to measure oil and gas – each with varying impacts on measurement uncertainty – and different parameters and process conditions, ensuring accuracy is difficult. This webinar will give an introduction to flow measurement and some common considerations in hydrocarbon liquid and gas systems.

Speaker

Derek Scott, Measurement Consultant/Training Manager, Kelton

Derek is a Measurement Consultant at Kelton, and has worked on projects such as developing guidelines for an oil and gas major. Previously he developed the currently in use metering guidelines in Qatar for Qatar Petroleum who act as the regulatory body. Derek carries out training nationally and internationally on the subject of liquid/gas and LNG measurement. He has a BEng in engineering from the University of Aberdeen.
