This webinar will introduce a range of innovative digital solutions that are being used to assist customers in increasing productivity.

Many plants have a range of sensing technologies which are used to manage end product quality, drive process efficiency, guarantee safety and meet environmental compliance. The workforce who operate these plants and maintain its devices are changing, traditional technicians are beginning to retire and the YouTube generation is starting to take over, leading to both challenges and new opportunities.

Many industries are now beginning to embrace new digital technologies and in this webinar the audience will hear first hand how augmented reality, drones, mobile apps and cloud computing are assisting ABB's customers deal with the changing workforce and increasing productivity demands.

Guest presenter 

David Lincoln, ABB Limited, Digital Lead for Measurement and Analytics 

David drives digital transformation for ABB’s wide-ranging sensing business which includes analyser, instrumentation and force measurement solutions. 

Previously, David oversaw service technology, productization and product management for ABB. As Technology Manager he also set up the Measurement and Analytics development centre in China and supported its growth for five years. 

David holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester in England and a Ph.D. from Cardiff University in Wales.

A one-hour online session: 40 minutes' presentation + 20 minutes' Q&A.
Duration (for CPD recording purposes): up to one hour.
