Overview

The food and biofuels industry is relatively new territory for the use of multivariable predictive control compared to refining and petrochemicals. The speakers will discuss the successful approach used to control a bioethanol distillation column at British Sugar, in partnership with NewLand Control.

Howard Boder, FIChemE is director and co-founder of an APC consultancy, NewLand Control, with 36 years' experience in deploying APC across a wide range of industries.

James Caws, Automation Development Engineer, British Sugar

James Caws, MIChemE is an automation development engineer at British Sugar and acts as an APC champion across all British Sugar sites.
