Graham is currently the head of Syngenta’s Process Hazards Section, leading a group of specialists in the field of process safety with responsibilities to:

  • examine Syngenta’s processes, plants and equipment throughout the world for potential fire & explosion and chemical reaction hazards and to define safe conditions of operation
  • prepare and own key HS&E documentation to be used globally within Syngenta
  • provide training and coaching in specific areas of hazard technology

His particular areas of expertise include dust explosions, explosion protection, and electrostatics.  He has published several peer-reviewed papers in these areas, and is active in many standards-setting committees, both national and international, including:

  • IEC/TC31/JWG29 Equipment in Explosive Atmospheres: Electrostatics (convenor)
  • European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) Working Party on Static Electricity
