Overview

This event has been postponed. To register your interest in a rescheduled event please email specialinterestgroups@icheme.org

The IChemE Water Special Interest Group have organised an event which will combine talks from industry specialists on water resilience and managing water quality risks, as well as a visit to the pilot plant rig where experimental tests have been carried out. The event will provide an opportunity to learn about corrosion and see the operational testing rig being used to inform the water safety planning associated with source water changes.

In the morning there will be presentations from Megan Attridge - Operational Readiness Water Quality Lead for Severn Trent, Hugh Thomas - Technical Authority for Process Engineering at Atkins and Sinead McElroy - Process Engineer at Atkins and an open discussion chaired by Megan Attridge and Hugh Thomas, event coordinators.

There will be a break for lunch and an opportunity for networking and general Q&A. The presentations and lunch will be held at Severn Trent’s head office in Coventry.

After lunch we will visit the test facility located at an operational Service Reservoir site approximately 15 minutes by car from Severn Trent’s head office.
