Join Neil Harkin for the presentation “Managing Conflict with Project Stakeholders” which will cover an overview of two interlinked areas:

Project Stakeholder Management: Most projects and programmes will have a variety of stakeholders with different and competing interests. These individuals can have significant influence over the eventual success or failure of the work, so intelligent management is vital.

Approaches to Managing Conflict: There will inevitably be degrees of conflict concerning all aspects of what needs to be done, how it will be done, and who will do it etc.  Not all conflict is negative, conflict is a necessary component of some team development models but, even there, it must be carefully managed to prevent it becoming counterproductive.

In this presentation you will learn to systematically identify, analyse, plan and implement actions to engage with stakeholders to harness the positive influences and minimise the effect of the negative influences. Also, how to facilitate a healthy conflict that without suppression can support group development and learning experiences.
