Solomon is Professor of Process and Energy Systems in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield, UK. He graduated from King’s College London with an MSci (Hons) in Mathematics and gained a PhD in Chemical Engineering at University College London (UCL). This was followed by postdoctoral research, focusing on carbon capture and storage, and teaching positions also at UCL.

Dr Maria Papathanasiou is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Imperial College London. She holds a PhD degree in Process Systems Engineering from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London and an MSc from the same department. She completed her undergraduate studies at the School of Chemical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens and she conducted her Diploma Thesis in Food Process Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin.

Over 30 years' of experience (mostly with BP) in steady-state process simulation development & use; distillation modelling & troubleshooting; upstream oil & gas production optimisation; and training (both face-to-face and online). Lead role in commercial and technical relationships with process simulator and process engineering software vendors. Individual, company and UK professional representative on numerous world-wide industrial, vendor and professional bodies.

Michael Fairweather graduated from the University of Leeds, and subsequently joined British Gas where he worked on a range of projects of relevance to safety and environmental impact, including work on industrial burner/furnace design. He re-joined the University of Leeds in 1998, being promoted to a Chair in Thermofluids and Combustion in 2005.

As a Principal Process Engineer, he provides support to process projects in general with specific responsibility for process and environmental modelling.

Dr Rahul Nabar has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the area of catalysis and kinetic modelling. He now operates his consulting practice in the area of process design with a focus on specialty chemicals. Dr Nabar also has an appointment as Adj. Associate Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai (IIT Bombay) where he focuses on teaching applied topics and industrial practice.

Dr Irene Chew main research field is in sustainable design which include pinch analysis, synthesis of eco-industrial park, waste-to-wealth optimization, bio-nanomaterial synthesis, neural network optimization, life cycle analysis. She works closely with industrial partners in solving critical environmental and process optimization problems. She has graduated nine PhD/Master students and she contributes in teaching Chemical Engineering subjects include Sustainable Processing, Material and Energy Balances, Engineers in Society and Design Project.

Bishwjeet is a dedicated and passionate Chemical Engineer with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and green technology and an MSc in Environmental Sustainability and Green Technology from Keele University. He has an academic foundation in sustainable technologies and water resources. He is particularly proud of his research work on designing sustainable concrete with low carbon emissions, which earned him a distinction and recognition as the IChemE NW Young Chemical Engineer of the Year in 2023.

Bhavik is currently a PMP certified Applications Engineer with a doctorate from the University of Liverpool. Over the years, he has acquired significant experience in modelling tools (gPROMS, Aspen, COMSOL), programming languages (Python and C), machine learning and more lab-based material characterization techniques. He has presented his work at several international conferences and is also working on several publications in material science, engineering and pharmaceutical development.
