Food and Drink

Conference Bursaries

The scheme is currently suspended. Please do not apply until further notice.

Overview

The Food and Drink SIG awards prizes of up to £250 to undergraduate and postgraduate students as an incentive to participate in a conference or event which is related to the food and drink industry. The bursary is to contribute towards the registration, travel and accommodation costs to help make conferences or events more accessible to students.

Prizes are awarded competitively and preference will be given to members of IChemE Food and SIG (you are entitled to join SIGs as part of IChemE membership) and to those presenting a paper or poster at an event. Bursaries may also be considered to support travel and expenditure towards overseas research or training.

All we ask in return is for a short report about the conference or event to publish in our newsletter or website. Applications can be made using the link below. Contact us for more info at specialinterestgroups@icheme.org.
