CPD and becoming Chartered

Becoming a Chartered Chemical Engineer proves that the individual has achieved and will maintain is and will remain at the standards expected of a Chartered Chemical Engineer worldwide.

Applicants for Chartered membership must produce proof of their current and future CPD activities. Inadequate evidence of their CPD could mean an application is deferred. Once qualified Chartered Chemical Engineers are required to maintain CPD records.

With IChemE’s mycareerpath CPD tool, applicants can develop a CPD report to support their application and maintain their professional status.

Planned developments must extend at least 12 months into the future and there must be evidence of past of CPD over the previous 12 months. It is important that CPD becomes an integral part of your day-to-day professional life. Using mycareerpath regularly will mean that you naturally maintain your commitment to CPD.
