Operators of high-hazard operations industry strive to ensure that their leaders, operating and technical teams in safety critical roles have been trained and developed to the appropriate level of competency. The approach often involves a mixture of in-house and external courses, along with on-the-job training. The effectiveness of the development process is competency assessed for these individuals in safety critical roles.
This workshop will bring together industry representatives to share their approaches for achieving and assessing the competence of those in safety critical roles. It provides a platform to share examples of best practice, generate ideas to increase the impact of training programmes and suggestions to improve competency assessments. Another additional benefit of this event will be to create an up to date industry network for future reference and knowledge exchange.
