Description: Advances in chemical water and wastewater treatment have led to a range of processes named advanced oxidation processes (AOP) being developed. In this webinar we will cover an overview of AOP, from UV to hydrogen peroxide technologies, and applications, from Wastewater to drinking water applications. Real case studies of OHP® (patented by Peroxychem) will be presented in advanced oxidation based on Fenton’s reaction with the use of hydrogen peroxide and a catalyst. The basis of the process is the creation of hydroxyl radicals from hydrogen peroxide. This is done by optimal combination of process conditions and catalyst addition. Hydroxyl radicals are capable to oxidize a wide range of chemical compounds that can be quantified by means of COD and TOC reduction.
