Panelists

Andrew CampbellDr Andrew Campbell FIChemE manages a small group of specialist multidisciplinary engineers for WorleyParsons in Perth, Australia. He brings the perspective of working within a large global engineering consultancy environment.

Andrew completed his chemical engineering degree at Curtin University in Perth, Australia, and his PhD in CFD modelling at the University of Greenwich, London, UK. Before joining WorleyParsons, Andrew worked in technical development roles at the Rio Tinto HIsmelt project in Perth and for BHP Billiton within its Olympic Dam operations in South Australia. Andrew’s specialty is in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling with an emphasis on process and quantifying consequences of events for risk assessments and design optimisation. Martin CurrieDr Martin Currie MIChemE has been based in Mauritius as a freelance water consultant for the last three years. He chairs the Consultancy Special Interest Group.

Prior to moving to Mauritius he developed Atkins' Middle East water consultancy business, from a Dubai base. Martin has also worked with Thames Water in Reading, UK, and was involved in both optimisation and design of water treatment works. Before joining Thames Water, he had his first stint as a freelance consultant, forming Aqueum Ltd.

Martin's first experience of consultancy was with WRc (a water consultancy based in Swindon, UK) as part of their partnership with Imperial College London. Read Martin's full CV at http://martin.aqueum.com


David HoughDavid Hough AMIChemE has worked in consultancy for eight years.

He is based in London, UK, and works for a global management consultancy, PA Consulting, primarily developing standards and secure solutions to allow access to real time operational data and systems to enhance an organisation's ability to proactively and remotely manage operations.

Prior to this David worked as a control and automation engineer for Tate & Lyle Sugars.

 

 

Format

A one-hour online session, with opportunity for Q&A.
Duration (for CPD recording purposes): up to one hour.
