IChemE welcomes call for papers for ECCE 10

10th October 2014

The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) has welcomed the call for papers for the tenth European Congress of Chemical Engineering (ECCE 10), which will be held in Nice, France from 27 September to 1 October 2015.

ECCE 10, Europe’s largest biennial chemical engineering conference, will be held jointly with the third European Congress of Applied Biotechnology (ECAB 3) and the fifth European Process Intensification Conference (EPIC 5) with an expected attendance of around 2,000 delegates.

The issue of sustainability, specifically within the European process industry, will be the over-arching theme of the joint congress, with implications in the following areas:

  • Energy
  • Water
  • Biotechnology and Food
  • Industrial Ecosystems

Special symposia will be held on the topics of thermodynamics, product design and engineering, sustainability and food.

Andy Furlong, IChemE’s director of policy and communication, said: 'The tenth European Congress of Chemical Engineering will serve as a great platform to show that chemical engineering matters in a European context.”

The joint congress is organised under the auspices of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) and the European Society of Biochemical Engineering Sciences (ESBES) by the Société Française de Génie des Procédés (SFGP).

Andy Furlong continued: “IChemE is committed to supporting our French colleagues and we are working to maximise abstract submission and participation by our members. The Institution will be strongly represented in Nice next September.'

The call for papers is now open and the submission deadline is 27 February 2015.
