IChemE members set for Science in Parliament

5th October 2011

IChemE members now have free online access to the UK Science in Parliament journal. Science in Parliament is the journal of the UK parliamentary and scientific committee and is published to keep members of parliament up-to-date on scientific affairs.

The journal will help IChemE members learn more about science-based legislation and parliamentary activities.

It is published four times per year and the 2011 Spring and Whitsun issues are now available to IChemE members.

The Spring issue highlights include articles on responsible innovation; adaptation to climate change; engineering in regenerative medicine; and medical engineering solutions for later life.

The Whitsun issue includes features on the controversy of homeopathy; strategically important metals; the science behind food and energy sustainability; and 100 years of nuclear physics.

IChemE communications manager Matt Stalker says: “We know that plenty of our UK members are keen to stay up-to-date with STEM developments in parliament. This new member benefit will help them to do just that at no extra cost.”
