Outstanding Achievement in Chemical and Process Engineering Award
The outstanding entry from the IChemE Global Awards across all categories will be presented with the Outstanding Achievement in Chemical and Process Engineering Award 2022.

Best Consultancy Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the individual, organisation or group that best demonstrates the provision of outstanding consultancy services within the chemical engineering community.

Biochemical Engineering Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product to demonstrate excellence in the application of biochemical engineering. This includes, but is not limited to, bioprocessing, bioengineering, bioenergy, biocatalysis, bioreactors and nanotechnology.

Business Start-up Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the organisation, formed in the last five years, to best demonstrate its contribution to the chemical and process industries. Entries should demonstrate evidence of business potential and preferably performance.

Diversity and Inclusion Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the organisation or group that best demonstrates a commitment to promoting or improving diversity and inclusion* within its workforce, sector or business practices. *Diversity means respecting and valuing all forms of difference in individuals. Inclusion is about positively acknowledging this diversity and taking deliberate action to create environments where everyone feels respected and able to achieve their full potential.

Energy Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product to demonstrate excellence in efficient energy use or the development of energy production methods that reduce energy intensity.

Industry Project Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best chemical engineering project, undertaken since 1 July 2019, to be implemented in industry. This includes, but is not limited to, construction of new plant and the adaptation of existing facilities.

Innovative Product Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best product originating from the chemical and process industries to be manufactured commercially since 1 July 2019.

Oil and Gas Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product to demonstrate chemical engineering excellence in the oil and gas sector.

Pharma Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product to demonstrate chemical engineering excellence in the pharmaceutical sector.

Process Automation and Digitalisation Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product to demonstrate excellence in the application of process automation and/or digitalisation within the chemical and process industries.

Process Safety Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the project, process or product to best demonstrate excellence in process safety.

Public Engagement Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the organisation or group that best demonstrates outstanding public engagement activity, highlighting the contribution of chemical engineering and its benefit to society.

Research Project Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best chemical engineering research project, undertaken since 1 July 2019. Entries should demonstrate potential or actual application in industry and are welcomed from industry, academia and collaborative working groups.

Sustainability Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the project, process or product demonstrating an excellence in sourcing and consuming materials, reducing waste, and/or optimising the product life cycles.

Team Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the team that best demonstrates the implementation of a project, process, product or service within the chemical and process sector. Teams can be multi-disciplinary and include colleagues from different professions, functions, organisations and parts of the world.

Training and Development Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the organisation that best demonstrates excellence in training and development of staff or education of a wider community. Entries should demonstrate how a skills/knowledge gap has been addressed, how a training programme has had a positive impact on business performance and/or how public perception of chemical engineering has been improved.

Water Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product to demonstrate chemical engineering excellence in the water sector.

Young Industrialist Award
For individuals
Recognises the chemical engineer who best demonstrates their achievements and tangible application of chemical engineering skills to address important technical, economic, environmental or social issues. All entrants must have been born on or after 1 January 1992.

Young Researcher Award
For individuals
Recognises the chemical engineer who best demonstrates the impact of their chemical engineering research to address important technical, economic, environmental or social issues. All entrants must have been born on or after 1 January 1992.
