Overview

The First Steps into the Industry is a career mentoring series to help internship seekers, final year students and graduates explore career pathways in the post-pandemic energy industry. Session 1, hosted by Curtin Malaysia IChemE Student Chapter, focuses on the life cycle of energy from exploration to production.

The forum features three young engineers, coming from an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm, an upstream service provider, and an operating company respectively. The speakers will introduce how the potential career pathways look like, provide career advice and guidance, and tips and tricks on getting a role in their respective industries.

The First Steps series is student-driven. Students and early career engineers are encouraged to ask questions and network with the speakers.
