This presentation will cover the fundamental principles of hygienic equipment design, their importance in managing food safety risks, and how to critically assess current designs for good practice. It will ask why hygienic or sanitary design is so important, as well as discussing the legal framework and practical application

Speaker

Hein Timmerman, Global Sector Specialist, Diversey

Hein has over 30 years experience with Diversey and has had roles covering Global Strategic Accounts support, training, technical, applications and solutions support. He is president of the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEGD).

He holds a master's degree in food technology from the University of Ghent, Belgium, and a Master of Business Administration from EHSAL-European University College, Brussels, Belgium.
