Appita Pump Workshop 2026
  • Date From 27th August 2026
  • Date To 27th August 2026
  • Price From $350.00
  • Location Distinction Hotel, Rotorua

Overview

Pumps are an integral part of the pulp and paper manufacturing process. Reliable and efficient operation of pumping systems is critical for maintaining production, reducing downtime, controlling energy use, and improving mill profitability.

This workshop will review key principles and practical issues associated with pump system operation in pulp and paper mills. Topics will include pump and system curves, pump operating points, cavitation and net positive suction head, pump system assessment, and practical troubleshooting of common pumping problems. The workshop will also include an introduction to how AI and emerging digital technologies may be applied to pumping systems in areas such as monitoring, analysis, decision support, and performance improvement.

The workshop is intended to combine core pumping fundamentals with practical mill-focused examples, helping participants better understand, assess, and troubleshoot pumping systems in pulp and paper operations.
