Following a highly successful visit the previous year, the IChemE Auckland Member Group is returning to Tip Top Ice Cream for a technical site tour.

This is not just a standard factory tour; it is a deep dive into the process engineering that powers New Zealand’s most iconic ice cream brand. 

• Heat Treatment & CIP: The critical hygiene and thermal processes in dairy production.
• Industrial Refrigeration: The engineering behind large-scale cooling and the hardening tunnel process.
• Plant Walkthrough: A guided look at the production lines in action.

The visit will conclude with a rare opportunity to taste fresh ice cream straight off the production line—where the texture and flavour are at their peak.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required:

For safety and food hygiene reasons, all attendees must provide their own:

• Full skin coverage: Long-sleeved shirt and long trousers (no shorts or T-shirts).
• Footwear: Fully closed-in shoes.
• Safety Gear: High-visibility vest and safety glasses.
• Note: Earplugs will be provided by the site.
