James Cropper PLC is a local company with an international reputation, established in 1845 and based in Kendal, Cumbria.

This specialist materials group and makers of fine paper have an international reach into over 50 countries, and are responsible for some of the most distinctive and technically advanced paper products, using as raw materials such as cotton and wood and even carbon fibre. Their customer base includes among others those involved in packaging, digital imaging and the aerospace industry.

The presentation by Dave Watson, Chief Operating Officer, will cover their activities from a business and a technical perspective, and there will be some reference to their award-winning process, an innovative technique to process and to recycle the plastic-coated cardboard such as is used for coffee cups.
