Overview
Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Hub, Australia's leading industry-led innovation hub driving the adoption of robotics, automation, artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing technologies. The ARM Hub AI Adopt Centre is Australia's national gateway for helping small and medium-sized businesses responsibly adopt AI, particularly within the manufacturing sector.
The visit will provide an overview of how the ARM Hub collaborates with industry, universities and government to develop and commercialise innovative technologies across sectors including process engineering, advanced materials, manufacturing, aerospace, defence, renewable energy and resource recovery. Participants will gain insight into the Hub's unique innovation ecosystem, where multidisciplinary teams work together to solve real-world industrial challenges.
This visit will feature several projects of particular interest to process engineers, including battery systems recycling and circular economy initiatives, banana de-handing robots, and the use of advanced composite materials for aerospace applications. These case studies demonstrate how engineering principles are being integrated with robotics, automation, advanced materials and digital technologies to create next-generation manufacturing solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers and engineering students to experience a different side of engineering innovation that extends beyond traditional discipline boundaries, showcasing how collaboration across multiple fields is shaping the future of Australian industry.
