Overview
UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) group is pioneering fusion research and progressing the development of exciting fusion facilities as well as UK's flagship fusion powerplant programme: the Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (STEP).
The fundamentals of fusion energy will be introduced demonstrating why it is essential to our sustainable future. UKAEA's various projects will be discussed; this will include how chemical engineers are pioneering solutions within these project. In the second half of this webinar, chemical engineers directly involved in these projects will introduce themselves. These chemical engineers will explain their career paths into fusion and the interesting work they are currently involved in.
