Recognising leaders who shape the profession

The Davis Medal honours George E Davis, the founding father of the profession.

The Davis Medal is open to nominees from both academia and industry and awarded to an eminent individual who has proven and sustained exceptional service to chemical engineering.

Any member can make a nomination for this medal, with the award given once every three years. Nominations should explain the eminence of the person and give a reason why they are being nominated. They will be considered by IChemE’s Medals and Prizes Committee, who will confirm the winner on the basis of the individual’s international standing and achievements.

To make a nomination for the Davis Medal, open the online nomination form and complete the information requested, paying attention to the criteria the medal will be judged against.
