Hazards On-Demand

What is Hazards On-Demand?

Access the valuable process safety content shared at our Hazards conferences via our Hazards On-Demand portal. This is a subscription-based product, providing access for 12 months.

Hazards is an industry-focused conference that shares good practice, latest research, lessons learned and emerging challenges in process safety. The presentations delivered at Hazards share a wealth of practical insight from process safety specialists representing industry, regulators and academia.

A subscription to the Hazards On-Demand portal is an excellent way for those unable to attend the conferences in-person to access valuable process safety knowledge-sharing at their own leisure.

What is included?

A subscription provides access to the technical content presented at recent UK-based Hazards conferences. This includes:

  • videos of the presentations
  • the full conference papers (where available) that accompany the presentations.

All of the content presented at Hazards 32 in October 2022 (70+ presentations) is available. We are adding a new selection of presentations on specific topics once a month from February 2023. These were presented at recent UK-based Hazards conferences between 2018 and 2021.

What does the content cover?

Hazards conference programmes cover all the functional areas that are key to managing and reducing process safety risk effectively – engineering and design, systems and procedures, knowledge and competence, human factors, assurance, safety culture, and environmental protection.

As such, presentations cover a significant number of themes including:

  • asset integrity
  • assurance
  • ATEX/DSEAR
  • clean technologies
  • digitalisation
  • environment
  • fire and explosion hazards
  • human factors
  • hydrogen hazards
  • inherent safety
  • modelling
  • process safety competencies
  • process safety management
  • risk assessment
  • safer plant
  • safety culture
  • safety leadership
  • and many more.

Common themes include lessons learned, sharing good practice, and cross-sector/industry learning. Presentations also consider the emerging challenges and major hazard implications of new technologies and applications eg clean energy and digitalisation.

All technical content is peer-reviewed by a team of volunteers with expertise in process safety. This includes representatives from operating companies, the contracting/consulting sector, regulators, the insurance sector and academia.
