Renisha Hercules obtained her BSc. Chemical and Process Engineering degree from the University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus in 2020, where she graduated at the top of her class. Renisha first became involved with IChemE as the Department Representative for the Chemical Engineering department at UWI and later transitioned into the role of Networking, Fundraising, Social and Recognition (NFSR) Committee Lead, where, with the help of her committee, she creates social media content, disseminates information to the Members Group and promotes membership growth; she is also the editor of the IChemE TTMG newsletter, The Vessel, which showcases technical and non-technical articles authored by local talent.

Renisha previously worked as a Process Engineering Intern at both Atlantic and Shell Trinidad and Tobago Limited, and a Graduate Process Engineer at Heritage Petroleum company Limited, equipping her with experience in the Upstream and Midstream oil and gas environment. She is currently a Graduate Process Engineer in the Upstream section of Shell Trinidad and Tobago, where her main responsibilities include operations support, process modelling, process engineering calculations, participation in HAZOPs, HAZIDs and LOPAs, and risk assessment.
