Affiliate Members can access all membership resources including The Chemical Engineer magazine; the Loss Prevention Bulletin and IChemE journals; regional member groups and technical special interest groups. Visit our resources page for details of all membership benefits.
Affiliate Members may be:
- anyone with an interest in chemical and process engineering
- those working within the process industries, or university lecturers teaching elements of the chemical engineering curriculum, who are not chemical engineers themselves
- graduates with a first degree in chemical engineering who require an Individual Case Procedure (ICP) assessment of their qualification(s) to satisfy the requirements for Associate membership
- graduates (or postgraduate students) with a first degree in a subject other than chemical engineering, working towards Associate Member (AMIChemE).

Anyone with an interest in the profession can become an Affiliate Member. However, we suggest you look through our other membership grades before applying, as there may be a grade more suited to your qualifications, background and experience.
