Zainab is a Fellow IChemE and has been involved with IChemE since 2009 as a Board member of IChemE Malaysia, a member of IChemE Professional  Formation Team, Co- Leader for SONG Malaysia and a member of Energy COP Leadership.

She is a BSc Chemical Engineering-holder from UMIST, UK , with 40 years of working experience in the oil and gas industry, holding positions as custodian process design and gas liquefaction, head of gas and LNG and group technical authority in her tenure with PETRONAS.

Zainab is a subject matter expert in gas processing and mass transfer/distillation who have developed several patents for improvements in distillation columns and separators.

She is the key process discipline technical authority for the development of PETRONAS technical standards. She has driven sustainability work fronts in circular carbon and hydrogen economy, biogas production from POME and food waste and together with her skill group fraternity has continuously been a focal in shaping up skills and capability for the PETRONAS team.
