As a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council UK since 2011 and a Committee member of IChemE (US & Canada) since 2016, Daxin brings extensive experience in chemical engineering, digital transformation, and industry leadership to the Congress position. 

His academic credentials include a BS in computer science and chemical engineering, an MS in chemical engineering, and an MBA, complemented by specialised training in machine deep learning (Stanford), applied data science (MIT), and professional certifications as a licensed professional engineer (PE), project management professional (PMP), and Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB). 

Currently serving as senior manager of life cycle services at Lummus Technology, Daxin develops advanced technology solutions and manages products/projects while providing licensee support services. Previously, he managed advanced simulation at McDermott International, leading a global team delivering digital projects exceeding $20 million in value and driving digital innovation initiatives. 

His professional experience spans chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, power, mining, and renewable energy sectors, with expertise in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, process technology, industrial automation, and software development. 

Beyond corporate roles, Daxin founded several organisations, including a non-profit dedicated to charitable purposes, and an institute to promote professional development and best practices in simulation engineering. 

His service to IChemE as a committee member since 2016 has allowed him to contribute to the profession while developing a deep appreciation for the Institution's mission and values. This experience, combined with his technical expertise and leadership skills, positions him to effectively represent member interests and contribute meaningfully to Congress discussions that shape the future of chemical engineering practice and the Institution.
