Biography

As a professor in NUS since 1998, Jiaping Paul Chen has worked in R&D, education and services across separation, water treatment, safety and carbon capture areas with above 100 projects leading to greater impacts (eg six books, 150 papers (citation>19000), 12 patents, two spin-offs). Through working in projects across Singapore, the UK and Malaysia he established stronger networks with industries, universities, and governments. Jiaping Paul Chen has served as an IChemE Congress member and Vice Chair of IChemE Singapore since 2008 and an assessor/reviewer for CEng, IChemE Awards and Journals. He is a recipient of the IChemE Sustainable Technology Award.
