Orla Douds

Biography 

Orla is a graduate process engineer at Jacobs based in Warrington. She has previously had experience in R&D and food manufacturing through industrial placements.

Orla studied at the University of Bath, graduating with a MEng degree in 2022. She completed a design project looking at water usage and treatment at an oil refinery, and a research project on producing medium chain carboxylic acids from food waste using a mixed microbial culture.

Orla is an associate member of IChemE. She was elected the vice-chair of the NECC in 2022, and joined the MQC in 2023.
