Overview

Technical presentation and buffet dinner which will focus on case studies in dust handling, drying, milling and storage with a discussion on ignition sources (with a focus on static) and safeguards.

This technical presentation welcomes attendees from all disciplines, with case studies chosen to spark discussion beyond the process industries.

Please note some of the video footage features the aftermath of real life examples of dust explosions, viewer discretion is advised.

Luke Matchett, Process Safety Lead, Cargill

Luke is a process safety lead for Cargill and is the SME for combustible dust and explosion safety. He has led multiple explosion investigations, some of which will be discussed in this session.
