The IChemE All Ireland Member Group are delighted to invite you to attend our annual dinner. This event offers an ideal opportunity to meet up with colleagues and friends and to network across the industry. The Maryborough Hotel is easily reachable by public transport. Car parking is available. The dress code is informal.

Laura Burke, Chartered Engineer

Laura is a chemical engineering graduate of University College Dublin. Following senior roles at Indaver, she joined the EPA as an agency director in 2004 and subsequently was appointed Director General in 2011. At present, at the time of her retirement from the EPA, the organisation employs 550 people.

In addition to her work in the EPA, Laura serves on the Board of Genio, a non-profit organisation that assists Government and other stakeholders to re-focus social services in a person-centred and cost-centred direction, and with UCD as an Adjunct Full Professor of Environmental Policy.

Laura is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Ireland. She served as Engineers Ireland President in its 2024–2025 term.
