Carbon Capture Pilot Plant and ABB Control Room Tour

13th March 2019

On 21st of February 2019 the YMF LSEC organised a tour of the 500 t/yr pilot scale Carbon Capture Pilot Plant and ABB Control Room, at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Imperial College London.

It was a fun and interesting evening with more than 25 attendees from various sectors, both industrial and academic. The tour was guided by Colin Hale and four 3rd Year Undergraduate students of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Imperial College London. The participants had the chance to visit the control room, as well as the carbon capture pilot plant, ask questions regarding various operating conditions and design stages, and also participate in a simulated emergency scenario!!!

The YMF LSEC would like to thank:

  • Colin Hale – Senior Teaching Fellow
  • Seok Han – 3rd Year Undergraduate
  • Ane Garcia Gauna – 3rd Year Undergraduate
