Professor Marc-Olivier Coppens spoke passionately about his novel subject/methodology which he terms Nature Inspired Chemical Engineering (N.I.C.E) and provided many real life examples of what his team have invented and/or discovered using the NICE methodology. The chemical engineering research society (CHEERS) based in UCL provided hot drinks, mince pies as well as other refreshments for our guests. We also had a networking session after the presentation and professor Coppens was happy to answer many questions from our guests.
