Whether you are studying at university, pursuing a research career, a retired engineer or working in industry or consultancy, we would like to welcome you in celebrating our achievements in 2017 and to hear about an exciting program of events for the coming year.

At the AGM, we will also be electing posts for Chair, Treasurer and Secretary, as well as inviting volunteers to help us as we look to advance our profession and engage with a thriving and enthusiastic group in our region - the largest IChemE member group.

We therefore invite you to provide your nominations by the 29 January for Chair, Treasurer and Secretary by email or by post to: Member Groups, IChemE, Davis Building, Railway Terrace, Rugby, CV21 3HQ.

Postal votes should be sent by Monday 5 February to the address above.

Please note that volunteers for the positions of Chair and Treasurer must be Chartered Members of IChemE. Volunteers for all committee positions must be current members of IChemE.

Speaker

Professor Nigel Brandon 

Nigel Brandon was the founding Director of the Energy Futures Lab at Imperial College London and a founder of AIM listed fuel cell company, Ceres Power. His research focus is electrochemical power sources for fuel cell and energy storage applications. He has led collaborations with industry and leading research centres within this field, and is also Director of the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells SUPERGEN Hub, funded by the RC Energy programme. In September 2017, Professor Brandon was appointed the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College London.
