Overview

The Member Reception Event aims to strengthen engagement between the IChemE Malaysia National Board (2025–2026), the Technical Special Interest Groups and the wider membership community. This special event will formally recognise the contribution of IChemE volunteers and those who have recently achieved Chartered Member (MIChemE) or Fellow (FIChemE) status – a milestone that reflects professionalism, dedication, and excellence in chemical engineering. 

Facilitate open dialogue and gather member feedback and foster a sense of connection and shared purpose among IChemE members in Malaysia. 

What to expect / schedule overview:

• welcome “Teh Tarik” and networking on arrival
• welcome address from the IChemE Malaysia Board for 2026
• roll call: Malaysia National Board Members, Malaysian SIG Representatives and NECG
• 2026 Malaysia Plan
• volunteer recognition
• the official conferral of new Chartered Members and Fellows by IChemE leadership
• a networking dinner with fellow members, guests, and IChemE leaders to facilitate open dialogue and gather feedback
• photography session.
