Overview
This presentation focuses upon the development of the process drawings that are developed during project design phases. The focus of the presentation is upon the development of PFD/PID’s & Building Layouts using real world approaches such as:
- Selection of design approach based upon project economics
- Management and integration of client standards
- Integration of environmental aspect, human factors and risk management within the design process.
- Implementation of direct 3D into early plant design
- A brief look at AI in process drawing.
Speaker
Earl Hutchinson
Earl is recently retired after having started his career in the car industry. He had a spell in process control before his first stint in the nuclear industry.
Earl then moved into fibre production at Courtaulds before leading a process/environmental consultancy at Cortex. He then entered the pharmaceutical industry at GSK with a global responsibility for the environment before becoming a contract designer at Fenris Consulting, mainly in the nuclear industries.
