Overview

United Utilities’ Davyhulme wastewater treatment plant is one of the UK’s largest and most significant sites for water management. This tour offers a valuable opportunity to explore the facility firsthand, walking through key areas of the site and seeing the scale and complexity of operations in action.

Attendees will meet engineers and site staff, gaining a practical understanding of how the plant operates on a day-to-day basis. The visit provides an engaging look behind the scenes at essential infrastructure that supports communities and protects the environment.

The tour is only accessible by car. Please approach from Salford Western Gateway / Trafford Way. Signage will be in place to guide you, and you’ll be directed to the security lodge. PPE will be provided, this will include a hi-vis vest, hard hat, gloves and safety glasses – we ask that you please wear sturdy footwear.
