Overview

During November 2024, IChemE made its first tentative steps towards establishing a presence at the annual UlverSTEM Careers Fair. This is a longstanding and highly regarded event for 6–16 year olds and their families, held on a Saturday in Ulverston Cumbria.

We are going to make sustainability and especially the UN Sustainability Goals our theme again this year. We are hoping to attract as wide a range of demonstrations and displays related in some way to this theme from individuals and their organisations. We are particularly keen to get involvement from the many smaller organisations and consultancies in the area.

Please register for at least one of the following, by end of September, this will give us time to organise the necessary risk assessments and layout of our overall stand:

• Interest in organising a demonstration or display
• Help on the stand in the morning, including set-up (08:45–13:00)
• Help on the stand in the afternoon, including clearance (12:00–16:30)
