Alexia Alizoti
Alexia has been involved in the IChemE as a student member since 2017 and is on her way towards acquiring her Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering at the University of Aberdeen.
Alexia is a very active Committee member in the Chemical Engineering Society of the University of Aberdeen, recently re-elected as the IChemE representative, and elected Schools Liaison in the IChemE.
Alexia’s vision for the IChemE includes IChemE being a safe and inclusive space for all members, supportive of engineers’ work rights and overall wellbeing, an excellent network for career advancement and a safety net for protecting the future generations of engineers to come.
Alexia’s focus as Schools Liaison is in enhancing the connection between the IChemE, the University of Aberdeen and other institutions and schools in the North of Scotland while simultaneously working to lay or reinforce the foundations for healthier work environments and improved work-life balance for current and soon to be professional engineers. In her priorities: mental health, finances, women’s health and AI regulation policies.
