  • Location Online: 12:00 GMT. Duration: 1 hour.

Overview

This webinar will present case study details on the deployment of Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) technology for a pot still in a malt distillery, to maximise the energy efficiency and carbon reduction.

Speaker

Anna holds an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen and works for Chivas Brothers in the heart of Speyside where she has covered a number of roles, including her current position as Process Engineer.

She specialises in heat recovery systems for batch distillation and has led on the design and installation of the carbon-cutting MVR technology which is playing a key role in Chivas Brothers’ journey towards carbon-neutral distillation by 2026.

She co-authored the open-source case study and basis of design that has allowed the technology to be shared industry-wide, contributing to the sector’s decarbonisation.
