Workshop: Getting Chartered? Competence and Commitment Report In a Day

Overview
This is an in-person event that will cover all areas of the report and competencies with additional support on the day from C&C report assessors and IChemE staff.
Course structure will involve:
- the competence and commitment report (C&C report)
- review of sections A through to E with additional subsections per competency.
- discussion - demonstrating your achievement across the competency areas.
- discussion - picking examples that show your range and depth of your responsibilities
- discussion - creating a detailed and concise report
- discussion - picking good examples to support your C&C report
- how to organise your CV.
- the Professional Review Interview
There will be no formal prework required, however attendees would benefit from being familiar with the C&C report and competence requirements.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided. There is a limited number of spaces available for this workshop, so we ask people to register their interest early.
Speakers
Aaron Pennie
Aaron is a Regional Engagement Manager at IChemE, supporting chemical engineers across Scotland, Ireland, and Europe. Focused on stakeholder engagement, collaborating with industry leaders, academic partners, and member groups to promote professional development and elevate IChemE initiatives.
Toby St Leger
Toby St Leger is a Fellow of the IChemE with over 29 years of experience in the oil and gas and chemical manufacturing sectors. Their work spans operations, design, and construction across offshore production, onshore processing, decommissioning, and carbon capture. They have collaborated extensively with regulators like the HSE and industry bodies including The Energy Institute and Offshore Energy UK.
Dave Russell
David Russell is Technical Director and Principal Consultant at Leviticus Energies and a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
