Overview

Join us for this joint Professional Engineering Institution (PEI) event, organised by the regional committees of the IMechE, ICE, IET, IChemE, IStructE and SMEA, in which our panel of local experts will be discussing the future for hydrogen in the drive for decarbonisation and net zero.

Being the most abundant element in the universe, hydrogen has huge potential in the drive towards decarbonisation, yet because of the costs of production, storage, transport and distribution, its full potential is still to be realised.

The event will be chaired by Professor Mohamed Pourkashanian OBE - Head of the Energy Institute & Managing Director of TERC, University of Sheffield.

The panel debate will be followed by questions from the floor, and preceded by a light buffet and networking.

Speakers

  • Pedram Pazouki, Products and Engineering Director, ITM Power
  • Chris Walters, Chief Executive, Pressure Technologies plc
  • Professor Nazmiye Ozkan, Head of Centre for Energy Systems and Strategy, Cranfield University
