Overview

The Netherlands Member Group would like to invite you on a site tour of the air products plant in De Botlek, Rotterdam. Our host will be IChemE member Robert Meijer who is the Sustainability Environmental Lead Europe.

Air Products not only produces a range of gases for industrial applications but also hydrogen for use as a transport fuel. This visit gives members a unique opportunity to come visit a chemical site in the Netherlands which is playing a key role in the energy transition.

We will start with coffee and a presentation about the plant. After that we will walk around the site and see the air separation units, liquid hydrogen plant, tube trailer filling unit and hydrogen refuelling station.

Key points:

• we will not be entering the process areas so safety boots are not required
• please bring ID to present to site security when signing in.
