CellQuest is commercializing an automated mini-factory that the company says can produce 6,000 CAR T therapy doses a year in less than 300 square feet of space. A refrigerator-size production unit holds up to 15 trays, each containing a single patient dose and a pouch where cell sorting, selection, transduction and expansion occur.
