Overview

The Eurecha Process Design Contest is an annual competition in which student teams from around the world compete on a process design challenge using computational tools for modelling, simulation and optimisation. In the 2025 edition, sponsored by AVEVA, they designed processes for producing chemicals from CO2 and renewable energy in the context of the host country of ESCAPE-35, Belgium.

In this webinar, the winning teams from RWTH Aachen University and Imperial College London present their innovative process designs for manufacturing ethylene and formaldehyde, respectively, along with their techno-economic and environmental analyses.
